Dai-Ichi Karkaria announced its Q1FY26 unaudited results on August 7, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations rose to ₹3,945 lakhs from ₹3,386 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, a growth of about 16.5%. The company returned to profitability at the standalone level with a profit after tax of ₹219 lakhs, compared to a loss of ₹27 lakhs in Q1FY25, translating into an EPS of ₹2.94 versus a negative ₹0.36 earlier. Profit before exceptional items improved sharply to ₹201 lakhs from a loss of ₹36 lakhs, reflecting notable margin expansion driven by lower finance costs and operating leverage. On a consolidated basis, the company barely broke even with a PAT of just ₹2 lakhs (versus ₹43 lakhs in Q1FY25), as higher other expenses at the subsidiary dragged overall profitability. Statutory auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
The Q1FY26 standalone results show a clear operational turnaround with strong margin recovery and a swing back to profit, which is positive for shareholders. However, the weak consolidated performance, where profits nearly vanished, may limit upside in the stock and suggests the subsidiary/JV is still under pressure.
