DAM Capital Advisors reported a sharp slowdown in Q1 FY26. Consolidated revenue from operations fell to ₹30.85 crore from ₹44.44 crore a year ago, a drop of about 31%. Total expenses jumped to ₹30.45 crore from ₹19.72 crore, largely due to higher employee costs (₹17.38 crore vs ₹13.66 crore) and depreciation. Profit before tax collapsed to just ₹0.43 crore from ₹26.55 crore, and net profit for the quarter was a mere ₹0.23 crore versus ₹22.12 crore in Q1 FY25. On the segment side, stock broking revenue held up at ₹18.04 crore (vs ₹20.29 crore) with a small profit of ₹0.80 crore, but investment banking revenue plunged to ₹9.12 crore from ₹21.67 crore and slipped into a ₹4.05 crore segment loss. Standalone results mirrored the consolidated picture, with net profit at just ₹0.16 crore.
This is a significantly weak quarter for shareholders, with profits down roughly 99% year-on-year as the investment banking business turned loss-making and costs expanded. The stock may see negative short-term pressure given the steep earnings decline, though the long-term franchise remains intact and the auditor issued an unqualified review report.
