DCM Limited will settle a long-pending Punjab VAT tax dispute under the state government's One Time Settlement Scheme (OTSS). The dispute relates to Entry Tax credit on HSD for DCM's Engineering Division. Total demand with interest was about Rs. 811.67 lacs. Settlement of Rs. 113.89 lacs covers basic tax, penalty, and interest together. Company already deposited Rs. 99 lacs; only about Rs. 19.23 lacs more to pay. Board approved on Nov 12, 2025 to avoid extended litigation, despite believing it had a strong case.
Small extra cash outflow of about Rs. 19.23 lacs removes uncertainty and any further interest or penalty liability on this long-pending case.
