On the reaction day the stock moved 3.4 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 4.3 pts less than its Petrochemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
DCW Limited received a favourable order from Commissioner of Income Tax Appeals covering 10 assessment years (2015-16 to 2024-25). The CIT(A) deleted several additions made by the Assessing Officer, reducing MAT credit by Rs 16.94 crores (from earlier Rs 28.93 crores). This favourable ruling cuts the company's tax liability by Rs 11.99 crores and lowers contingent liability by the same amount. The company plans to further appeal the remaining additions it considers untenable.
Positive for DCW shareholders. Tax liability and contingent liability reduced by Rs 11.99 crores. Company plans further appeals on balance additions.
