On the reaction day the stock moved 2.1 pts more than its Petrochemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
DCW's half-year revenue rose 18.7% to Rs 1,204.77 crore, but profit after tax fell 62.9% to Rs 14.38 crore, indicating EBITDA margin compression. Operating cash flow was Rs 106.10 crore. The auditor flagged a Rs 54.91 crore electricity tax demand and other disputes, without modifying its review. The board approved an open-market buyback of up to Rs 40 crore at Rs 58 per share maximum, with at least Rs 30 crore to be used.
Strong operating cash flow and the buyback may support the stock, but lower profit, margin compression and unresolved tax risks may cap gains.
