Infomerics revised Deccan Cements long-term rating from IVR BBB+/Positive to IVR BBB-/Negative, tagged Issuer Not Cooperating. The rating was for a proposed NCD issue of Rs 25 to 50 crore that the company had already withdrawn on 30 March 2026, as its expansion project was completed within budget and the term loan was reduced. The company says it told Infomerics multiple times the NCD proposal was dropped, yet Infomerics went ahead with the review. The Issuer Not Cooperating tag was added because the company refused to share data for a proposal it had already shelved.
Rating is for a dropped NCD plan, so limited impact on current operations. But the lower rating and not cooperating tag may hurt future borrowing perception.
