On the reaction day the stock moved 1.4 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.9 pts more than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Deccan Cements has allotted three tranches of debentures totalling around INR 660 crore. This includes 14.4 lakh unsecured compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs) at INR 715 each (about INR 103 crore), 15,000 senior secured NCDs (Series A) at INR 1 lakh each (INR 150 crore), and 40,700 junior secured NCDs (Series B) at INR 1 lakh each (INR 407 crore). All instruments are unlisted and unrated.
CCDs will dilute existing shareholders on conversion. The unrated debt and large junior tranche raise capital structure risk, but the raise boosts liquidity.
