Deccan Cements reported September quarter revenue of Rs 140.31 crore, up 16.5% from Rs 120.46 crore a year ago. Net profit was Rs 9.07 crore versus a Rs 4.04 crore loss. For April to September, revenue edged down 0.6% to Rs 290.87 crore, while net profit was Rs 24.42 crore versus a Rs 1.23 crore loss. Operating cash flow was Rs 39.27 crore. The figures were unaudited, but the limited review found no material misstatement.
The profit turnaround and positive cash flow support sentiment, but slight half-year sales decline and capital spending may limit gains.
