On the reaction day the stock moved 7.2 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 6.8 pts less than its Commodity Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
DFPCL reported weak Q3FY26 standalone numbers. Standalone revenue from operations fell 22.7% YoY to Rs 401.18 crore; PAT dropped about 84% to Rs 10.78 crore. On consolidated basis, revenue grew 9.7% YoY to Rs 2,830 crore but PAT fell 44% to Rs 141.49 crore. The Board also approved permanent closure and dismantling of the 300 TPD Methanol Plant at the K1 unit, idle since August 2021, to free land for brown-field growth. Statutory auditor P G BHAGWAT LLP issued an unqualified limited review report.
Sharp standalone profit dip signals margin pressure; consolidated growth cushion is limited near term. Methanol plant shutdown is housekeeping and does not move the needle.
