Deepak Nitrite has executed a Deed of Guarantee in favour of Bank Muscat SAOG to secure a US$ 78.43 million term loan for its subsidiary Deepak Oman Industries (SFZ) LLC in Oman, along with interest and other charges. The company holds 51% in DOIL with promoters holding the remaining 49%. The transaction is at arm's length and the company will charge a guarantee commission from DOIL.
Creates a contingent liability of around US$ 78.43 million for the parent company. Arm's length deal with commission charged, but increases exposure.
