Delhivery has received an order from the Maharashtra GST authority under Section 74 of the CGST/Maharashtra GST Act for FY 2020-21. The order confirms a tax demand of about Rs 29.54 lakh and an equal penalty of about Rs 29.54 lakh, totalling around Rs 59 lakh, on account of disallowance of input tax credit. The company says it will take necessary steps and that there is no material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities.
Small relative to Delhivery's size, around Rs 59 lakh combined demand. Company calls it not material, but it may invite appeal and is worth monitoring.
