Delton Cables posted strong Q3 FY26 revenue of Rs. 26,839 lakhs, up about 42% year-on-year from Rs. 18,864 lakhs in Q3 FY25. For the nine-month period, revenue grew to Rs. 66,607 lakhs versus Rs. 50,703 lakhs last year, a rise of around 31%. Profit after tax for Q3 jumped sharply to Rs. 408.87 lakhs from just Rs. 3.37 lakhs in Q3 FY25, helped by a Rs. 51.81 lakhs exceptional gain from settlement of an insurance claim related to a previous-year fire accident. However, nine-month PAT of Rs. 1,345.79 lakhs is below Rs. 2,051 lakhs in the prior-year period, partly due to a one-time charge from the new Labour Codes. The auditor (Bansal & Co LLP) issued an unmodified limited review opinion.
Strong top-line growth is positive, but the sharp rise in Q3 profit is largely flattered by the insurance gain and a low base, while nine-month earnings are actually lower than last year. Shareholders should watch whether the revenue momentum translates into sustained margin improvement once one-time items normalise.
