Delton Cables reported strong top-line growth in Q2 FY26, with revenue from operations rising about 38% year-on-year to Rs. 24,134.05 lakhs, and H1 FY26 revenue up about 25% to Rs. 39,767.23 lakhs. However, net profit for Q2 declined to Rs. 628.65 lakhs (from Rs. 848.54 lakhs a year ago) and H1 FY26 net profit fell to Rs. 936.92 lakhs from Rs. 1,150.82 lakhs, mainly due to higher finance costs and depreciation. Operating (EBITDA) margins before exceptional items expanded to roughly 8% in H1 FY26 from about 6.4% in H1 FY25, showing improved operational efficiency. The auditor (Bansal & Co LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report, a clean sign. On the negative side, operating cash flow was deeply negative at Rs. -3,046.72 lakhs in H1 FY26, and total borrowings climbed sharply to Rs. 23,107 lakhs (from Rs. 17,139 lakhs at March 2025), pointing to working capital and debt pressure.
Strong revenue momentum is a positive, but falling profits, rising debt, and negative operating cash flow suggest the company is funding growth through borrowing rather than internal accruals, which is a watchpoint for shareholders.
