On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and in line with its Sugar peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The board approved a cash purchase of 47,287,537 shares, or 51% of Venus India Asset-Finance, for USD 5.51 million, about INR 50 crore. The target provides short and medium-term loans. The deal needs RBI approval and other conditions, with a long-stop date of October 28, 2026. Its FY2025 turnover was INR 42.20 crore and profit after tax INR 14.94 crore.
The purchase diversifies the company beyond sugar and may add a profitable loan business, but RBI approval and execution remain risks.
