Dhampur Sugar Mills has completed its buyback of 10,81,081 equity shares (face value Rs. 10 each) at Rs. 185 per share, for a total of Rs. 20 crores (excluding transaction costs). The buyback was carried out through the tender offer route on a proportionate basis from shareholders as on the record date of May 23, 2025. The tendering window ran from May 29, 2025 to June 4, 2025. The company has now published the post-buyback public announcement on June 12, 2025, in Business Standard (English and Hindi), as required under SEBI buyback regulations.
The buyback has been successfully completed, which is generally a positive signal for shareholders as it reduces the share count and returns cash to investors. Shareholders who tendered shares at Rs. 185 will receive the buyback proceeds, while the overall earnings per share may improve marginally going forward.
