Dhenu Buildcon Infra reported a strong turnaround for Q2 and H1 FY26 (ended Sept 30, 2025). Total income jumped to ₹51.63 lakhs in Q2 FY26 from just ₹0.67 lakhs in Q2 FY25, with H1 FY26 income at ₹82.29 lakhs. Profit before tax swung from a loss of ₹35.12 lakhs in H1 FY25 to a profit of ₹54.51 lakhs in H1 FY26, lifting basic EPS to ₹0.30. The balance sheet shows total assets of about ₹1,00,437 lakhs, mostly loans (₹80,080 lakhs) and investments (₹20,177 lakhs), with borrowings of around ₹1,00,051 lakhs against equity of only ₹313.80 lakhs. The auditor flagged in a separate paragraph that the company has not made any income tax provision during the year, which is contrary to the Income Tax Act requirement to accrue tax provisionally.
Operating turnaround is positive on the surface, but the business remains essentially a leveraged investment/loan book (debt nearly 320 times equity) and the auditor's highlight on missing tax provisions is a governance and compliance red flag for shareholders.
