Dishman Carbogen Amcis reported its audited consolidated results for FY25, with total income from operations rising modestly to Rs 2,711.50 crore (vs Rs 2,615.77 crore in FY24). The company swung to a consolidated net profit of Rs 3.24 crore from a loss of Rs 153.45 crore last year, helped by a sharp jump in Q4 to Rs 43.09 crore (vs a Rs 69.92 crore loss a year ago). On a standalone basis, revenue grew about 22% to Rs 399.84 crore, though the company remained in a net loss of Rs 9.87 crore (improved from Rs 76.41 crore). The auditor issued an unmodified opinion but flagged an emphasis of matter on the Board's decision to extend goodwill amortisation life to 99 years. The company also raised Rs 50 crore via privately placed secured non-convertible debentures (allotted March 26, 2025) and appointed M/s Ashok P. Pathak & Co. as Secretarial Auditors for five years starting FY26.
The swing to a consolidated profit after last year's large loss is a positive signal, supported by stronger operating margins (17.4% vs 11.3%). However, the standalone business is still loss-making, the auditor's emphasis on the extended goodwill life warrants close attention, and Rs 18.11 crore in exceptional charges (including inventory write-downs and capex impairment) signals ongoing operational stress in some subsidiaries.
