India Power Corporation Limited (formerly DPSC Limited) has disclosed that the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) has been admitted by the Hon'ble NCLT, Hyderabad Bench-I, with effect from 15th May, 2026. Following this admission, the powers of the Board of Directors have been suspended and vested in the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP). The Board Meeting originally scheduled for 20th May, 2026 has been cancelled. A Management Meeting chaired by the Resolution Professional is proposed for 27th May, 2026 to consider audited financial results for FY2026 and dividend recommendation. The Trading Window has been revised to 29th May, 2026.
This is a highly negative development for shareholders as the company has entered formal insolvency proceedings. The suspension of board powers and initiation of CIRP typically leads to significant uncertainty regarding the company's future, potential restructuring, and shareholder value.
