India Power Corporation (formerly DPSC) is already under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process since May 15, 2026 via NCLT Hyderabad. On September 23, 2026, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) issued a notice under Section 212(1)(c) of the Companies Act seeking information about Gupta Power Infrastructure Limited. DPSC says no violations are alleged against it and there is no financial or operational impact. Board remains suspended with the Resolution Professional in charge.
Adds another regulatory layer on top of ongoing insolvency. Shareholders face prolonged uncertainty with no near-term resolution in sight.
