Duroply Industries reported FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 37,179.15 lakhs, up about 15% from Rs 32,342.30 lakhs in FY24. Net profit for the year jumped to Rs 777.00 lakhs from Rs 100.75 lakhs last year, a roughly 7x rise, helped by an exceptional item of Rs 104.29 lakhs (an excise refund of Rs 418.93 lakhs partly offset by Rs 314.64 lakhs of receivables/advances written off). Q4 FY25 revenue rose to Rs 10,634.60 lakhs from Rs 8,445.84 lakhs in Q4 FY24, with a Q4 net profit of Rs 273.45 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 123.37 lakhs a year earlier. Operating cash flow turned positive at Rs 1,389.26 lakhs versus an outflow of Rs 260.21 lakhs in FY24. The board also appointed Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav as the new CFO and Mr. Sumantra Sinha as Secretarial Auditor for five years.
Strong profit growth and a turnaround in both quarterly and full-year earnings should be viewed positively by shareholders, though a meaningful slice of the profit boost comes from a one-time excise refund rather than core operations. The shift to positive operating cash flow and an unmodified audit opinion add confidence, while the CFO change is an internal promotion rather than a red flag.
