Elango Industries reported unaudited results for Q2 FY26 with revenue from operations of Rs. 2.52 lakhs versus Rs. 0.18 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. For the half year, revenue jumped sharply to Rs. 23.71 lakhs from Rs. 4.50 lakhs in H1 FY25, a more than 5x increase. However, the company remained in losses with a net loss of Rs. 0.94 lakhs in Q2 FY26 and Rs. 5.83 lakhs for the half year, though losses narrowed versus the prior year period. Reserves stood negative at Rs. (10.76) lakhs, and cash and cash equivalents were minimal at Rs. 0.11 lakhs. The auditor issued a qualified conclusion due to uncertainty over the recoverability of an electricity subsidy receivable of about Rs. 1.10 crores, a qualification that has been repeating since March 2022.
The strong revenue growth is a positive signal, but the company is still loss-making with negative reserves and a long-pending unrecovered subsidy that auditors cannot confirm as recoverable, which keeps fundamental concerns intact for shareholders.
