Electronics Mart India Limited (Bajaj Electronics) reported Q1 FY26 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations fell to ₹1,739.39 crore from about ₹1,926.67 crore in Q1 FY25, a decline of roughly 9.7% year-on-year. Profit after tax dropped sharply to ₹21.65 crore from ₹76.92 crore, down about 72% YoY. The company booked an exceptional loss of ₹8.17 crore related to a fire incident at one of its godowns on May 29, 2025, and has lodged an insurance claim. The statutory auditor Walker Chandiok & Co LLP issued an unqualified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
The double-digit revenue decline and sharp fall in profits point to weak consumer demand and margin pressure in the electronics retail segment, which is likely to weigh on the stock in the short term. The fire loss is a one-off event and may be recovered through insurance, but the underlying earnings weakness is the bigger concern for shareholders.
