Electrotherm reported a loan payment default dated 30 September 2026. Unpaid principal was Rs 56.00 crore and interest Rs 3.81 crore, involving Invent Asset Reconstruction for debts assigned by Indian Bank and Punjab National Bank. Under its settlement, Rs 180 crore is payable over 11 years at 11 percent a year. Total debt was Rs 997.42 crore, and another lender's account is also in default.
Repayment risk has increased, which may pressure the share price. The settlement provides a clear path to repay the assigned loans.
