Emami Paper Mills' Board approved its Q1 FY26 standalone results on 29 July 2025. Revenue from operations fell to ₹459.76 crore from ₹503.69 crore in Q1 FY25, an 8.7% year-on-year decline. Profit after tax dropped sharply to ₹6.31 crore from ₹12.80 crore a year earlier, a fall of about 51%, while profit before tax stood at ₹9.35 crore versus ₹17.46 crore previously. Basic EPS for the quarter came in at ₹0.84 compared to ₹1.91 in Q1 FY25. Finance costs rose notably to ₹17.05 crore from ₹13.86 crore, reflecting higher interest burden. Statutory auditor S K Agrawal and Co issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Weak quarter for shareholders — both top line and bottom line shrank year-on-year, and higher finance costs ate into profits. The clean audit report removes any near-term red flags, but the steep PAT fall may put pressure on the stock in the short term.
