Emami Realty reported deeply negative financial results for FY2025-26 with a standalone net loss of Rs 1,895.35 lakhs, compared to a loss of Rs 1,251.60 lakhs in the previous year. Total standalone revenue declined to Rs 12,066.72 lakhs from Rs 12,949.43 lakhs, representing a revenue decline. The company made significant impairment provisions of Rs 1,050 crores during the year and Rs 325.54 crores in Q4 alone for loans assessed as doubtful. The auditors issued an unmodified opinion but included an Emphasis of Matter regarding a 10% partnership in Lohitka Properties LLP whose accounts were not finalized. Other equity turned negative at Rs (2,675.93) lakhs. The board also appointed Mr. Ram Krishna Agarwal (former Managing Partner of S.R. Batliboi & Co., EY) as Additional Non-Executive Director from July 1, 2026.
The significant expansion in net losses, large impairment charges, and negative shareholder equity raise serious concerns about the company's financial health and going concern status. The appointment of a highly experienced chartered accountant to the board may indicate efforts to strengthen governance. Investors should exercise caution given the deteriorating financial position.
