On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.5 pts more than its Personal Care peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share (500%), about Rs 214.6 crore in total, with a November 13 record date and payment by December 4. Q2 consolidated revenue rose 36% to Rs 1,087.65 crore, but profit after tax fell 2% to Rs 145.50 crore; H1 revenue rose 25% while profit fell 9%. A 7.3 million share buyback for Rs 281.24 crore was completed. Auditor review was qualified for some unreviewed units.
The dividend and completed buyback support shareholder returns, but lower profit and a qualified auditor review may limit the positive impact.
