Emkay Global Financial Services reported audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY 2025-26. Standalone revenue from operations grew 10.7% to Rs 34,899 lakhs from Rs 31,532 lakhs, driven by higher fees and commission income. However, profit after tax declined sharply by 79.8% to Rs 1,190 lakhs from Rs 5,891 lakhs in the previous year. Operating margin compressed significantly from 19.36% to 4.70% due to increased finance costs, higher fees and commission expenses, and impairment provisions. The company generated negative operating cash flow of Rs 8,043 lakhs, worsening from Rs 1,938 lakhs negative in the prior year. The board recommended a dividend of Rs 1.50 per share (15%) and approved proposals to raise up to Rs 100 crore via NCDs and increase borrowing limits to Rs 1,000 crore. Auditors issued an unmodified opinion with no going concern issues.
The sharp 80% decline in net profit and negative operating cash flow are concerning signals for investors. Despite revenue growth, the company's profitability and cash generation have deteriorated significantly, though the strong balance sheet and ICRA BBB+ rating provide some comfort.
