Enviro Infra Engineers reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 232.41 crore, up about 13% from Rs. 205.18 crore in Q1 FY25. Standalone profit after tax rose to Rs. 40.78 crore from Rs. 33.08 crore, a growth of roughly 23%. The board declared an exceptional charge of Rs. 4.95 crore after the company detected a cyber fraud involving fraudulent fund transfers totalling Rs. 11.15 crore (Rs. 4.95 crore up to June 30, 2025 and Rs. 6.20 crore after the quarter end). An FIR was filed with the IFSO Wing in Delhi, and the company has so far recovered Rs. 2.50 crore out of Rs. 3.02 crore placed under lien by banks. The statutory auditor (SS Kothari Mehta & Co LLP) issued an unqualified review report but included an Emphasis of Matter paragraph drawing attention to the fraud. The Chairman and Managing Director have voluntarily given up their remuneration until the losses are fully recovered.
Underlying operations look healthy with double-digit revenue growth and strong margin expansion, but the cyber fraud is a material governance red flag that shareholders should track closely. Watch for further recoveries, completion of the audit committee probe, and whether the Rs. 4.95 crore charge stays final or gets revised as more funds are recovered.
