ESAF Small Finance Bank reported Q2 FY26 net loss of Rs 116 crore versus Rs 81 crore loss in Q1 FY26 and Rs 190 crore loss in Q2 FY25. H1 FY26 net loss stood at Rs 197 crore against Rs 127 crore in H1 FY25. Total income fell 11% YoY. Gross NPA deteriorated to 8.54% from 6.87% YoY, while capital adequacy stayed strong at 22.43%. The bank absorbed 5,109 employees from ESMACO, booking a Rs 58 crore exceptional charge. Auditors issued an unmodified review opinion.
Widening quarterly losses and rising NPA ratios remain concerns; strong capital adequacy and clean auditor opinion offer some cushion to shareholders.
