Exato Technologies Ltd has received a favourable order from the Income Tax Department for Assessment Year 2024-25. The original tax demand of ₹73,42,860 and interest of ₹4,40,568 (total ₹78,56,856) has been substantially reduced to ₹4,09,813 in tax and ₹1,79,687 in interest (total ₹5,89,500). The reduction follows the grant of Minimum Alternate Tax (MAT) credit under Section 115JAA and correction of assessed income, which had been incorrectly computed earlier. The company had flagged this demand as a risk factor in its Red Herring Prospectus dated November 2025, linked to its recent IPO. The rectification application under Section 154 of the Income Tax Act has now been resolved in the company's favour.
Positive development for shareholders — a major litigation risk disclosed during the recent IPO has now been resolved largely in the company's favour, cutting the total tax liability by about ₹72.67 lakhs. This removes a significant overhang on the stock and strengthens the company's financial position post-listing.
