Excel Industries' Board, at its May 14, 2025 meeting, recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 13.75 per share (275% on face value of Rs. 5) for FY 2024-25, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. This is a sharp increase from the Rs. 5.50 per share dividend declared for FY24. The Board also approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025, with an unmodified opinion from auditors Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP. On a standalone basis, FY25 revenue from operations rose to Rs. 97,806.77 lakhs (from Rs. 82,613.91 lakhs in FY24), while profit before tax surged to Rs. 11,090.70 lakhs (from Rs. 2,019.49 lakhs). Standalone EPS jumped to Rs. 66.42 (from Rs. 12.02), and consolidated EPS was Rs. 67.87 (from Rs. 13.53).
The more than 2x jump in dividend per share signals strong cash generation and shareholder-friendly intent, and should generally be viewed positively by investors. However, the dividend remains subject to AGM approval, so the actual cash inflow to shareholders will follow that milestone.
