Exide Industries' board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1FY26 on August 5, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations rose 4.6% YoY to Rs. 4,509.81 crore, while profit after tax grew 14.6% to Rs. 320.45 crore and EPS stood at Rs. 3.77. Profit before tax increased 14.9% YoY to Rs. 429.70 crore, and EBITDA margin expanded to 12.2% from 11.5% a year ago, supported by better price realisation and cost efficiency projects. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to Rs. 4,695.12 crore and PAT rose to Rs. 274.58 crore. The company highlighted zero debt, strong cash flows, and continued investment of Rs. 300 crore in Q1FY26 (plus Rs. 100 crore in July) into its lithium-ion subsidiary EESL, with commercial production targeted by end of FY26.
Modest revenue growth and improving margins indicate steady operational performance, likely to be viewed positively by investors. Continued investment in the lithium-ion venture is a forward-looking growth lever but short-term demand headwinds in auto OEM and exports remain a watchpoint.
