Expo Engineering and Projects Ltd reported Q3 FY26 net sales of Rs 1,809.68 lakhs, down about 28.5% from Rs 2,531.28 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Profit after tax for the quarter stood at Rs 51.09 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.22) versus Rs 66.85 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.29) in the year-ago quarter. For the nine months ended December 2025, net sales were Rs 5,094.21 lakhs, a sharp 32% drop from Rs 7,491.64 lakhs in 9M FY25. Despite the topline slump, nine-month profit rose 48.7% to Rs 240.32 lakhs (EPS Rs 1.05) from Rs 161.61 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.71), aided by lower input costs and a contraction in other expenses. The auditor K.S. Shah & Co. issued an unmodified limited review report. The company recently changed its name from Expo Gas Containers Ltd in July 2025.
The sharp revenue decline is a concern as it suggests weak order flow, but the simultaneous jump in profits and EBITDA margins shows better cost control and improved operating efficiency. Investors should watch whether the topline recovery resumes in the coming quarters; in the near term, margin gains are cushioning earnings.
