On the reaction day the stock moved 4.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 5.8 pts more than its Ferro & Silica Manganese peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Facor Alloys reported a net profit of Rs 2,206 lakhs for Q1 FY27 against a loss of Rs 465 lakhs a year ago. The profit came entirely from a one-time exceptional gain of Rs 3,191 lakhs on sale of plant and machinery. Core plant operations remain shut since Oct 2023 and operating revenue was just Rs 28.76 lakhs. Auditor could not conclude on consolidated results as foreign subsidiary financials were unavailable. EOW complaint filed over the overseas unit.
Profit is from asset sale, not operations. Plant remains closed, auditor flagged gaps in consolidated numbers. Outlook uncertain.
