On the reaction day the stock moved 6.2 pts more than its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
FDC's board approved a proportional tender offer to buy back up to 2.4 million shares at Rs 500 each, for up to Rs 120 crore and covering 1.47% of paid-up capital. The record date is November 13, 2026, and promoters plan to participate. Consolidated September-quarter revenue rose 21% to Rs 572.14 crore, while profit for FDC shareholders rose 105% to Rs 43.06 crore.
The buyback may support per-share value and shareholder returns, but the Rs 120 crore cash outlay could reduce financial flexibility.
