On the reaction day the stock moved 6.7 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 6.2 pts more than its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
FDC's board approved buying back up to 24 lakh shares, equal to 1.47% of paid-up capital, at Rs 500 per share through a tender offer for up to Rs 120 crore. November 13, 2026 is the record date, and promoters plan to participate. For the September 2026 quarter, consolidated revenue was Rs 572.14 crore and profit after tax was Rs 49.06 crore, against Rs 473.03 crore and Rs 28.37 crore a year earlier.
The buyback may support the share price and lift earnings per share, but the 1.47% size limits the effect. Up to Rs 120 crore of cash will be used, reducing reserves.
