The Board of Fermenta Biotech, at its meeting on November 11, 2025, approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025, along with a clean limited review report from statutory auditors SRBC & Co. LLP. On a consolidated basis, H1 FY26 revenue rose to about Rs. 25,793 lakhs from Rs. 16,430 lakhs in H1 FY25 (roughly 57% YoY growth), while consolidated profit after tax jumped to about Rs. 4,071 lakhs from about Rs. 556 lakhs in the year-ago period. Standalone H1 FY26 PBT was Rs. 4,349 lakhs with PAT of Rs. 3,095 lakhs, partly aided by a one-time reversal of an inventory provision of Rs. 505.55 lakhs. The Board has also approved the transfer of the Environment Division as a going concern on a slump sale basis to its wholly-owned subsidiary Fermenta Environment Solutions Pvt Ltd, effective October 1, 2025. Consolidated operating cash flow swung positive at Rs. 3,804 lakhs for H1 FY26 versus an outflow of Rs. 333 lakhs in H1 FY25.
Strong YoY earnings growth, especially on a consolidated basis, and positive operating cash flow are supportive signals for shareholders, though part of the profit boost comes from a non-recurring inventory provision reversal. The slump-sale restructuring of the Environment Division into a subsidiary is a structural change worth tracking for its future contribution to consolidated results.
