Bank of Baroda reported its audited FY25 results on 6 May 2025. Standalone net profit rose 10.1% year-on-year to Rs 19,581 crore from Rs 17,789 crore, while total income grew 8.6% to Rs 1,38,089 crore. Consolidated net profit climbed 10.4% to Rs 20,716 crore with EPS of Rs 40.06 versus Rs 36.29 last year. Asset quality improved sharply with Gross NPA at 2.26% (vs 2.92%) and Net NPA at 0.58% (vs 0.68%). Capital Adequacy Ratio strengthened to 17.19% (standalone) from 16.31%. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs 8.35 per share (417.5% on face value of Rs 2), with record date set as 6 June 2025. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion with an emphasis of matter note on family pension liability amortization.
Healthy earnings growth with improving asset quality and strong capital position supports investor confidence; the attractive dividend yield is a positive for shareholders. The slight dip in standalone operating profit margin from 24.36% to 23.49% is a minor watchpoint, but overall results reinforce Bank of Baroda's improving fundamentals.
