Flex Foods reported audited FY25 revenue from operations of Rs 15,001 lacs, up about 23.7% from Rs 12,128 lacs in FY24, driven by higher sales volumes. However, the company posted a wider net loss of Rs 3,250 lacs versus Rs 2,593 lacs last year, with the Q4 FY25 loss alone at Rs 524 lacs against Rs 175 lacs in Q4 FY24. Total expenses surged to Rs 19,359 lacs from Rs 15,693 lacs, with finance costs alone jumping 32% to Rs 2,280 lacs, which is the main reason losses deepened despite revenue growth. The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per share (5%), subject to shareholder approval, and the 35th AGM is scheduled for 21 August 2025. Statutory auditors MJMJ & Associates LLP issued an unmodified opinion on the results, and Mahesh Gupta & Co. has been appointed as the new secretarial auditor for a five-year term starting FY26.
Higher sales are failing to translate into profits as rising interest and operating costs continue to drag performance, and the very high debt-equity ratio (~6.7x) along with continued negative operating cash flow raises concerns about financial sustainability, even though the auditor sign-off is clean.
