On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.1 pts more than its Hospital peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Fortis promoter NTK (a unit of IHH Healthcare) has filed a petition to amend its existing claim against Daiichi Sankyo before the Tokyo District Court. The original suit seeks about INR 10,930 crore (around RM 5.7 billion) in damages plus an injunction stopping Daiichi Sankyo from making defamatory statements to SEBI. Since Fortis open offers completed in November 2025, the amendment broadens the injunction to cover any future investments or corporate actions by NTK in Fortis and Malar. The original reliefs otherwise remain unchanged.
Ongoing legal dispute between promoters. No immediate impact on Fortis operations, but outcome could affect promoter stability and investor sentiment.
