Future Consumer Limited has informed the Exchange about General Updates
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Future Consumer Limited has provided an update on the insolvency case filed by State Bank of India at NCLT Mumbai. SBI's counsel stated they do not wish to amend the petition, which lists the first date of default as 1st April 2022 due to irregularity in the account. The matter was heard on 8th January 2026 after being rescheduled from 2nd January due to court vacation. The NCLT has issued notice to the Company, and the Company's counsel has been granted two weeks to file a reply. The next hearing has been scheduled for 16th February 2026.
This is a significant negative development for shareholders. An ongoing insolvency petition from a major lender like SBI raises the risk of corporate insolvency proceedings, which could materially affect share value and investor confidence if the petition is admitted. The stock is likely to remain under pressure until the matter is resolved.
