On the reaction day the stock moved 0.2 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.5 pts more than its Gas peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
GAIL informed exchanges that the NCLT order dated 3 June 2026 approving reduction of equity share capital of Konkan LNG Limited (KLL) has been implemented. Consideration was paid to GAIL and MSEB on 6 July 2026. An aggregate of 14,81,10,440 equity shares of Rs 10 each were cancelled, including 7,40,55,220 shares held by MSEB and 7,40,55,220 held by GAIL. As a result, MSEB holding in KLL reduced to Nil and GAIL shareholding increased to 100 percent of KLL equity capital.
Positive for GAIL: full ownership of subsidiary KLL simplifies group structure and gives GAIL complete control over KLL assets and decisions.
