GAIL (India) Limited's Board of Directors, at its meeting on May 13, 2025, recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 1.00 per equity share (10% on face value of Rs. 10) for FY 2024-25, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs. 6.50 per share already paid during the year, taking total dividends for FY25 to Rs. 7.50 per share. The record date will be announced later. The company also reported strong FY25 results with revenue from operations rising about 5% year-on-year to Rs. 1,37,287.56 crore and standalone net profit jumping 28% to Rs. 11,312.32 crore, partly aided by an exceptional income of Rs. 2,440.03 crore from an LNG supplier settlement. EPS for FY25 stood at Rs. 17.20 versus Rs. 13.44 in FY24, and auditors issued an unmodified opinion on the results.
Income-focused shareholders will benefit from a combined FY25 dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share, a healthy payout for the stock. The sharp 28% rise in net profit is partially inflated by a one-time LNG settlement, so underlying core earnings growth is more moderate. The record date for the final dividend is yet to be communicated.
