GAIL (India) reported strong Q1 FY27 results. Standalone PAT at Rs 4,292.33 cr, up 127% YoY from Rs 1,886.34 cr. Revenue from operations rose 12% to Rs 38,981.63 cr. Consolidated PAT at Rs 4,671 cr with EPS of Rs 7.10. Gas marketing and LPG transmission drove growth. However, Middle East LNG supply was disrupted due to West Asia geopolitical tensions. CESTAT excise demand of Rs 3,799 cr (with interest) is contested in the Supreme Court. No defaults on total debt of Rs 16,793 cr. Board lacks Independent Directors since March 2026.
Strong earnings and margin expansion boost outlook; LNG disruption and excise duty case remain key risks to monitor.
