On the reaction day the stock moved 1.3 pts more than Nifty 100 and 3.4 pts more than its Gas peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
GAIL's standalone September-quarter revenue rose 31.1 percent to Rs 45,923.57 crore and net profit more than doubled to Rs 4,650.22 crore. Consolidated revenue rose 32.7 percent to Rs 47,301.03 crore and profit rose 137.5 percent to Rs 4,723.75 crore. Auditors found no material misstatement, but highlighted a Rs 3,831 crore excise demand treated as a contingent liability and two contested pipeline tariff orders.
Strong results help shareholders, but the Rs 3,831 crore excise dispute and unresolved tariff appeals remain material risks.
