On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.3 pts less than its Gas peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
GAIL's subsidiary Konkan LNG Limited had filed a scheme before NCLT to reduce its equity share capital by cancelling 14.81 crore equity shares of Rs 10 each, held equally by GAIL and MSEB Holding Company. NCLT sanctioned the scheme via order dated 3 June 2026. After implementation, MSEB Holding's stake in Konkan LNG will become Nil, and GAIL will hold 100 percent of its equity share capital, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.
GAIL becomes 100 percent owner of Konkan LNG, simplifying the corporate structure. No material financial impact expected.
