On the reaction day the stock moved 1.5 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.3 pts less than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Galaxy Surfactants posted Q2 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 918.97 Cr (up 17.5% YoY) and consolidated revenue of Rs 1,326.17 Cr (up 24.7% YoY). H1 consolidated revenue grew 27.8% YoY. However, profitability fell: standalone PAT dropped to Rs 46.19 Cr from Rs 64.84 Cr; consolidated PAT declined to Rs 66.49 Cr from Rs 84.71 Cr. Standalone EBITDA margins compressed to roughly 9% from 12.7% YoY. Final dividend of Rs 4 per share for FY25 paid during the quarter.
Strong top line but sharp PAT fall and margin compression may weigh on stock; track margin recovery in coming quarters.
