Gallantt Ispat's board, meeting on July 29, 2025, approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 1,127.78 crore, down about 2.8% from Rs. 1,159.69 crore in Q1 FY25. Despite the revenue dip, net profit jumped to Rs. 173.79 crore from Rs. 121.87 crore — a rise of roughly 42.6% year-on-year. Basic EPS improved to Rs. 7.20 from Rs. 5.05. The company noted that it actually earned net interest income of Rs. 1.53 crore during the quarter after including interest earned on fixed deposits and loans given out. Statutory auditor M/s Maroti & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) review opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong profit growth on tighter costs and better operating leverage is positive for shareholders, though the slight dip in top-line revenue may raise questions about volume or pricing trends. Overall, the margin expansion and ~43% PAT growth are likely to be viewed favorably by the market.
