Gamco Ltd reported a sharp decline in FY25 performance, with standalone total income falling to ₹5,096.94 lakhs from ₹21,155.27 lakhs in FY24 (a drop of about 76%). Standalone profit after tax dropped to ₹516.28 lakhs from ₹3,312.72 lakhs (down ~84%), while EPS fell to ₹0.96 from ₹13.79. Q4 FY25 was particularly weak, swinging to a standalone loss of ₹1,805.65 lakhs from a profit of ₹527.42 lakhs a year ago, driven by a ₹2,521.28 lakh negative fair value change on investments. Consolidated PAT for FY25 stood at ₹644.78 lakhs (down from ₹3,320.83 lakhs). The board declared a ₹0.10 per share dividend and issued bonus shares in a 5:4 ratio in March 2025. The statutory auditor (Pawan Gupta & Co.) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Shareholders should note the steep fall in revenue and profits, but the modest dividend and bonus shares signal some confidence. The stock may face pressure given the negative Q4 fair value losses, more-than-doubled borrowings (debt-equity ratio rose to 2.33), and negative operating cash flows — though the clean audit opinion provides some reassurance.
