The board approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations rose to ₹4,810.60 Lakhs, up about 18% year-on-year from ₹4,082.93 Lakhs. Profit after tax jumped to ₹2,160.88 Lakhs, roughly 51% higher than ₹1,431.86 Lakhs in the year-ago quarter, pushing basic EPS to ₹17.78 from ₹11.78. Total income, including other income, grew about 27% YoY to ₹5,617.63 Lakhs. A large part of the profit boost came from other income, which surged to ₹807.03 Lakhs versus ₹340.06 Lakhs last year, driven primarily by a ₹714.82 Lakhs fair value gain on investments. Operating expenses rose only modestly, helping operating margins expand compared with the year-ago quarter.
Headline profit growth looks strong, but a meaningful chunk of the earnings beat is from fair value gains on investments rather than core tube-making operations. Investors should watch whether the operating momentum sustains in coming quarters before pricing in the headline PAT growth.
